"If you have not yet seen an exhibit where all the featured art is in a square format, prepare to be delightfully surprised by the look of this upcoming installation," noted East End Arts
Gallery Director Jane Kirkwood.
"Squares," East End Arts' annual non-juried, all media Members' Show, features two-dimensional works created by East End Arts members. All pieces were restricted to a maximum of 14 inches wide and 14 inches high, including frame. The yearly exhibit provides the chance for local artists to showcase their art to the Long Island public.
The opening reception, which is open to the public, will be held on Friday, January 23rd, from 5 to 7 p.m. During the debut viewing, attendees will have the opportunity to select their favorite piece and then vote for it to win the People's Choice Award. "Squares" will be on display through Friday, March 6th.
East End Arts Gallery is located at 133 East Main Street in Riverhead. For more information, call 631-727-0900 or visit www.eastendarts.org.
