"Springs Seedlings" was inspired by The Edible Schoolyard, a garden created by Alice Waters, Owner of Chez Panisse Restaurant in Berkeley, California. On land allocated by the Springs School District, Project MOST has nurtured the Springs Seedlings Project's greenhouse into a center for teaching, learning, and growing. The popular edible classroom and greenhouse has even sparked other programs like Seedlings' Earthsavers, Health & Wellness, Greenhouse Science Education, STEM Education and the Seedlings I-Grow Summer Program.
Proceeds from the 7th Annual Empty Bowls Event will support the Springs Seedlings Project as well as fund a Nutrition Educator and maintain the existing greenhouse at Springs School and garden boxes at John Marshall
Elementary School.
Admission is $12 for adults, $5 for children (13 and under), free for those under 5-years-old or $25 per family.
