This year the Super Bowl will be played at MetLife Stadium, the home of the New York Jets and New York Giants. While neither team will compete for the Lombardi Trophy, the Tri-state area is still excited to host its first NFL championship.

In honor of the big game, 48 designers have created custom designed helmets for Bloomingdale's in partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). They will be on display in the store windows of the iconic Bloomingdale's 59th Street location and will be unveiled on Wednesday, January 15, at 5:00 p.m.

Fashionable football fans can bid on the specialty Super Bowl items which are being auctioned off with proceeds benefiting The NFL Foundation. The non-profit organization is devoted to improving the lives of those who have been impacted by the game of football. Their grants support youth and high school football programs, health and safety efforts, and community health initiatives like NFL PLAY 60.

"Bloomingdales' New York Heritage combined with the fact that Super Bowl XLVIII is taking place in our back yard gives us an opportunity to merge fashion and sports in a modern way," said Frank Berman, Bloomingdale's executive vice president of marketing. "Through our unique collaborations, merchandise, and special events, we are able to celebrate Super Bowl XLVIII in-store and online bringing the excitement of this iconic event to our shoppers across a variety of touch points, all while supporting the NFL Foundation."
