Top Five Hamptons Hotels To Stay At This Summer

Southampton - If you are not sure where to stay this summer in the Hamptons, here are the top five hotels to stay and play.

Looking for a weekend of pampering? Then head to Gurney's Inn Resort & Spa (290 Old Montauk Highway, Montauk, www.gurneysinn.com). Gurney's offers fitness center, steam room, sauna, sea water indoor pool and an assortment of spa treatments ranging from a massage to an ultimate detox therapy.

This pet friendly inn is walking distance from the many stores, museums, art galleries, countless dining options Southampton Village has to offer. While technically Shelter Island is not part of the Hamptons, luxury beach boutique hotel Sunset Beach (35 Shore Rd, Shelter Island, www.sunsetbeachli.com) is worth checking out. Part of hotelier Andre Balazs properties, you catch the ferry from Sag Harbor or Greenport and spend the day lounging at the beach.

For dinner, head to Sunset Beach's restaurant where Executive Chef Loic Larteau brings French classics such as bouillabaisse, salade niçoise and moulés frites to the beach-side restaurant and bar. Balazs collaborated with local winemaker Christian Wolffer to produce a reserve rosé solely available at Sunset Beach.
