Southampton - If you are not sure where to stay this summer in the Hamptons, here are the top five hotels to stay and play.
Looking for a weekend of pampering? Then head to
Gurney's Inn Resort & Spa (290 Old Montauk Highway, Montauk,
www.gurneysinn.com). Gurney's offers fitness center, steam room, sauna, sea water indoor pool and an assortment of spa treatments ranging from a massage to an ultimate detox therapy.
After spending the day relaxing, enjoy the stunning views while enjoying fresh seafood at The
Sea Grille or if you prefer Italian head to
Caffe Monte. After a weekend at
Gurney's Inn you are bound to leave relaxed and rejuvenated.
Also in Montauk is the family friendly
Montauk Yacht Club Resort & Marina (32 Star Island Road, Montauk,
www.montaukyachtclub.com). The Montauk Yacht Club has something to offer for every member of your family and is frequently a location for
Bethenny Frankel's reality show "Bethenny Ever After" on
Bravo TV.
Whether you want to spend the day at one of their outdoor pools, spend the day learning to surf with Corey Wave Professional Surf Instructions, improve your tennis game at one of their summer clinics, or spend the day on the water with a family fishing trip or charter a sailing boat, you won't run out of activities to do at the Montauk Yacht Club. They even offer Surf Craft Sitters, an exclusive sitter program that offers educational, creative, interactive babysitting for parents who want a night out.
The
Capri Hotel (281 County Road, Southampton,
www.caprisouthampton.com) is a collaboration of hoteliers
David Edelstein, Jackie Mansfield, and Steven Kamali. Spend the day lounging by the pool at
the Bathing Club, then stop in the
Cynthia Rowley boutique to find something to wear while indulging in one of the dishes created exclusively for Southampton
Nobu at the Capri.
This summer season, Capri Hotel will host some of the season's most buzzed about events, from private dinner parties on the Nobu patio to a summer long DJ series at their expansive pool, The Bathing Club at Capri. Guests can unwind on sun-soaked lounge chairs and luxurious day beds, before taking a break to visit the L'Oreal "Sun Bar", the poolside sun screen station. Guests at
the Capri Hotel will also enjoy
Baked by Melissa miniature stuffed cupcakes upon check-in along with other complimentary in-room amenities such as TastingRoom.com wine samples, popchips and luxurious bathing products.

The
Southampton Inn (91 Hill Street, Southampton,
www.southamptoninn.com) is the perfect place for those looking to be close to the center of
Southampton Village. This pet friendly inn is walking distance from the many stores, museums, art galleries, countless dining options Southampton Village has to offer.
The Southampton Inn is minutes away from the beach and offers a complimentary hourly shuttle to
Coopers Beach, which was named America's best beach in 2010 by
Dr. Beach (click here and watch the live streaming
Hamptons.com Coopers Beach Cam).
While technically Shelter Island is not part of the Hamptons, luxury beach boutique hotel
Sunset Beach (35 Shore Rd, Shelter Island,
www.sunsetbeachli.com) is worth checking out. Part of hotelier
Andre Balazs properties, you catch the ferry from Sag Harbor or Greenport and spend the day lounging at the beach.
For dinner, head to Sunset Beach's restaurant where Executive Chef Loic Larteau brings French classics such as bouillabaisse, salade niçoise and moulés frites to the beach-side restaurant and bar. Balazs collaborated with local winemaker
Christian Wolffer to produce a reserve rosé solely available at Sunset Beach.
So those are our favorite places to stay and relax in the Hamptons, what are your favorites?
