Southampton - What is 'Hamptons Style'? Is it a fashion aesthetic or annual trend? Hamptons Style is a lifestyle more than anything else that blends the best the world has to offer in food, culture, and fashion with some of the biggest names in entertainment and business in one of the most beautiful areas of the United States. 'The Art Of Fashion In The Hamptons' Illuminates Color, Fabric And Artistic Vision
By Eileen Casey
Nine of America's most prominent fashion designers, including Tory Burch, Betsey Johnson, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Reed Krakoff, Ralph Lauren, Nicole Miller, Elie Tahari, and Vera Wang, took their hand at crafting vignettes incorporating the art of equally celebrated prominent artists for the fashion-forward Guild Hall exhibition 'The Art of Fashion in The Hamptons.' Highly associated as spearheading the trends of both fashion and art in the Hamptons, the pairings of the designers and artists made for a who's who of high style and creativity. The Art of Fashion in The Hamptons was the place to see and be seen this summer, no matter what you were wearing.

Isabella Rossellini: From Lancôme To Oyster Beds, She Steps With Style And Intention
By Douglas Harrington
Isabella Rossellini's latest project, dubbed "Green Porno," is a series of short films for the Sundance Channel website that deals with species reproduction. The shorts star Rossellini in creative, almost cartoon like costumes and puppetry, as she portrays everything from bees to whales, to animals' very graphically specific reproductive organs. The actress explained, "Robert Redford came up with this idea to produce environmental programming for not only the Sundance Channel, but also the Sundance website. He thought the web demanded its own project that was very colorful, but very short. So he suggested I come up with something regarding the environment."

Grey Gardens: Hardly The Ho-Hum Neighbors
By Douglas Harrington
An entirely new audience is getting to know The Beales of East Hampton, a mother and daughter duo that has, over the last four decades, become the highest order of Hampton's folklore. Portrayed by Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore, respectively - it is the story of Edith and "Little" Edie Beale and their infamous, dilapidated home in the exclusive Georgica Pond section of East Hampton known by neighbors as "Grey Gardens." Eccentrics in a rundown mansion, unto itself, are not much of a story. However, when the eccentrics are the aunt and first cousin of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis and Princess Lee Raziwell, the story becomes nothing short of sensational.
