The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation Hosts Eighth Annual Hamptons Happening

Bridgehampton - The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation will host its Eighth Annual Hamptons Happening, honoring three Star Michelin chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, on Saturday, August 11, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. The event, aptly named, "Jean-Georges a la carte", will feature seven of his Manhattan restaurants along with their chefs, including; abc kitchen, JG Jean-Georges, Jo Jo, The Mark Restaurant, (The Mercer) Kitchen, Perry St and Spice Market. In addition, Jean-Georges will be hosting his own dessert station, which should prove to be nothing short of incredible.

The benefit will be hosted by Maria and Kenneth Fishel and their two children, Melissa and Bradley, at their sprawling Bridgehampton property. Other participants, rounding out the menu are, Lucy's Whey, Peter Ambrose Catering/Hampton Seafood Company, Arlotta Food, Blue Duck Bakery, The Seafood Shop, Tate's Bake Shop, Roxanne Browning; Exotic Chocolate Tastings and The Sag Harbor Baking Company. The Fudge Company will provide its always, most popular, candy bar, which seems to bring out the child in everyone. Drinks will be generously provided by Akvinta - Croatian Vodka, Palm Bay International, Don Q Premium Rum, Avion Tequila, Heineken, The Juicy Naam, Hint Water, Hard mixers and Nestle' Waters. Fabulous canvas duffle gift bags, underwritten by the Independent newspaper, will be brimming over with a variety of gifts including gorgeous butter knives by Sabre France - The Richard Cohen Collection and Arlotta Food's own bottled extra virgin olive oil.

Heating up the evening, (beside the chefs), will be one of Four AM DJ's hottest talents, DJ Phresh. A luxury auction, both live, as well as silent will include a Smart Car and a 1996 Vintage Mercedes 230SL Convertible from Aventura Motors. All will take place under a tent which will be transformed into a magical "club" atmosphere by Party Up, Daria Culver Events and Michael George, and 1-800-flowers.

SWCRF supports an international collaborative research program seeking to create scientific based, non-toxic treatments for all cancers.
