Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Find out during the upcoming North Fork Community Theatre (NFCT) adaption of the 1962 play written by Edward Albee. The drama takes a look at the relationship of Martha and George, a middle-aged married couple, who manages to draw a naive couple, Nick and Honey, into their dysfunctional, miserable relationship, when late night cocktails at Martha and George's turn ugly. The play explores the older couple's unhealthy dynamics, which includes ruthless games, dark humor, and contempt for each other.

"George (Jim Pearsall) and Martha (Susan Hedges) are at odds when it comes to family values," explained Deanna Andes, NFCT Producer. "This dramatic play will have you sitting on edge and engulfing you in adult situations."

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? made its Broadway debut at the Billy Rose Theatre on October 13, 1962. The play took home the 1963 Tony Award for Best Play and the 1962-63 New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Play. In 1966, a film adaption was released. It starred Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, George Segal and Sandy Dennis.
