Diana Aceti has been appointed as the new Director of Development for Sag Harbor's Bay Street Theatre. Aceti's appointment comes after spending the last year as Director of External Relations and Advancement with the Watermill Center, an interdisciplinary laboratory for the arts and humanities, and the previous seven years as Director of Development at East Hampton's Ross School.

"I am honored to join the wonderful team at Bay Street at this important time of change and growth at this acclaimed artistic haven," says Aceti. "My goal is to help ensure the long-term sustainability of the Bay Street Theatre, which is essential to the character and spirit of the East End. Since its inception in 1991, Bay Street has offered artists and audiences the opportunity to experience the power of live theatre. It is an invaluable resource for the community, with an open door policy to the area's schools, engaging and inspiring our children with innovative educational programs and projects."

Aceti is certainly qualified for the job, bringing with her over 20 years of fundraising, marketing, strategic planning, and communications experience to her new role as the senior financial official with Bay Street Theatre. As the title suggests, it will be her job to work with Executive Director Tracy Mitchell and the theater's Board of Trustees to maximize future growth of the organization. She will work to develop and execute new strategies, plans, and projects that support the theater's overall goals for revenue, major gifts, underwriting, naming opportunities, and grants.

"We are thrilled to have Diana joining the Bay Street team at this very important moment in our history," said Executive Director of the non-profit regional theatre, Tracy Mitchell. "I see it as a pivotal time for Bay Street - an exciting time to refresh, renew and explore artistically beyond where we have been. And developing a strong base from which to operate is imperative."

Bay Street is located at 1 Bay Street in Sag Harbor. For more information call 631-725-9500 or visit www.baystreet.org.
