Sylvester Manor continues the 2018 Creekside Concert series with local legends, Inda Eaton, The Nancy Atlas Project and Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks on Sunday, July 15.
Each of these performers has created their own musical niche on the East End of Long Island, and have gathered a devoted fan base.
"July 15 will be an epic night of local legends Nancy Atlas, Inda Eaton and Gene Casey all in concert by the creek on Sylvester Manor's beautiful grounds!" said Tracy McCarthy of Sylvester Manor. "We are hoping to welcome a lot of new faces to this historic and special place."
Eaton is a singer/songwriter/performer/bandleader based in East Hampton. Her unique sound can be placed in rock, country and acoustic realms. Since her first album tour, Thin Fine Line,
in 1996, she has performed all over the world. Known for her well-crafted hooks, meaningful lyrics and harmonies, her and her grassroots band have opened for names like John Hiatt, Blues Traveler, Earl Scruggs, Hootie and the Blowfish, LeAnn Rimes, Shemekia Copeland, and Molly Hatchet. Her newest album, Shelter in Place,
is due out this summer.
Atlas and her band of Journeymen are known for their live, raw performances and impressive songwriting. The musician and her band have opened for names such as Elvis Costello, Lucinda Williams, Toots and the Maytals, Jimmy Buffett, Crosby, Stills and Nash and many more. The Commack native is a regular at the majority of major East End venues, such as Stephen Talkhouse, The Surf Lodge, and Bay Street Theatre.
Casey formed the Lone Sharks upon his arrival at Long Island's East End in 1988. They served as the house band for the Wild Rose Cafe in Bridgehampton. His original music has been used on soundtracks to television and feature films. In 2015, Casey received the Long Island Sound Award from the Long Island Music Hall of Fame.
"The evening will include these amazing musicians along with local food trucks and libations," added McCarthy.
The grounds open at 4 p.m. and concertgoers are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. Local food trucks, Noah's on the Road, King Andrew's Cheese Carriage and Bungalow Bar Ice Cream Truck, will be on site. Wine, beer and soft drinks will also be available.
Tickets are $45 in advance and $50 at the door.
