Guild Hall recently announced that Andrea Grover has been appointed the East Hampton-based performing arts theater's Executive Director position. She will begin her new endeavor on Thursday, September 1st, 2016. Grover will succeed Ruth Appelhof who will be retiring after 16 years of serving as the Executive Director at Guild Hall.

"Andrea's extensive experience, accomplishments and local standing make her the ideal person to take the reins of Guild Hall and lead us into the future," noted Marty Cohen, Chair of Guild Hall's Board of Trustees. "She brings a dynamic vision along with insightful knowledge of our ever-evolving community."

In 1998, Andrea founded the Aurora Picture Show in Houston, Texas, a center for film, video, and media performances that she led for 10 years. Following that, she served as the advisor for the Pulitzer Arts Foundation and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, amongst others. Additionally, Grover was a Warhol Curatorial Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University and was awarded a Center for Curatorial Leadership Fellowship, along with a residency at Walker Art Center.

Since 2011, Grover has worked as the Curator of Special Projects at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill. She has largely been responsible for initiating contemporary art programs that help to bring the community, including residents and locals, together.

Guild Hall is located at 158 Main Street in East Hampton. For more information on Guild Hall and its programs, visit www.guildhall.org.
