Top Ten Hauntingly Delicious Concoctions To Celebrate Halloween In The Hamptons

This Halloween don't just get creative with your costume. Halloween falls on a Wednesday which gives you plenty of opportunities to get creative with your cocktails and mix up the top ten hauntingly delicious concoctions to celebrate Halloween in the Hamptons.

1. THE 31st: Don't let the color of this drink scare you away, this flavorsome mixture is bound to become a Halloween favorite.

 • 1.5 oz. Blood orange juice
 • 1 oz. Freshly squeezed lime juice
 • 1 oz. Cointreau (or 1/2 oz organic agave nectar)
 • 2 oz. Vida Tequila Blanco Tequila

Directions: Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and pour into a chilled martini glass.

2. Herradura Apple Dura: - Instead of making candy apples this Halloween, try this tasty treat.

 • 1.5 oz. Herradura Reposado
 • 1.5 oz. Orange liqueur
 • 6 oz. Apple juice

Directions: In a tall glass with ice, add the tequila, orange liqueur and apple juice. Stir and garnish with an apple slice.

3. The Green Goblin: The drink may not give you superpowers but it will impress your friends with the creative combination of colors.

 • 1 oz. Molinari Sambuca Extra
 • .5 oz. Coconut syrup
 • .5 oz. Pineapple juice
 • Blue curacao according to taste

Directions: Gently pour into the shot glass the ingredients, following the order above, in order to obtain three different and well defined layers.

4. Basil Hayden's Once Bitten This cocktail was created by Charles Joly and is perfect accessory for those dressing up as a vampire this Halloween.

 • 1 1/2 parts Basil Hayden's Bourbon
 • 3/4 parts Ginger liqueur
 • 3/4 parts Fresh lemon juice
 • 1/4 part Agave nectar
 • 1/2 part Tart cherry concentrate

Directions: Drizzle cherry concentrate around the inside of a martini glass letting it slowly drip down the sides. Combine remaining ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice. Strain into the cherry concentrate lined glass, squeeze orange zest oil on top of cocktail and garnish with orange zest.

5. Cascal Midnight Margarita - Get into the Halloween spirit with this orange creation. Who says margaritas are only for summer?

 • 1.25 oz. Tequila
 • .25 oz. Cointreau
 • .25 oz. Grand Marnier
 • Juice of half a small lime
 • 2 oz. Cascal Fresh Tropical

Directions: Add all ingredients into a mixing glass over ice except Cascal Fresh Tropical. Shake hard then strain out into rocks or cocktail glass filled with ice. Top off with Cascal Fresh Tropical, stir gently and garnish with lime wedge.

6. Cruzan Voodoo Hurricane: Maybe those who drink this Cruzan cocktail will keep the haunted spirits away this Halloween.

 • 1 part Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum
 • 1 part 151 Proof Cruzan Rum
 • 1 part Cruzan Vanilla Rum
 • 3 parts Orange juice
 • 3 parts Pineapple juice
 • 1/2 part Grenadine
 • 1 Fruit Wedge

Directions: Combine all ingredients, mix well. Pour over crushed ice in a tall glass. Garnish with fruit wedge.

7. All Hallow's Punch - Having a Halloween party, this punch will impress all your guests.

 • 1 750 ml bottle of Mount Gay Black Rum
 • 8 oz. Cointreau
 • 8 oz. Water
 • Peel and juice of 8 lemons
 • Peel of 2 oranges
 • 1/2 cup sugar
 • 1 cinnamon stick
 • Food-grade dry ice

Directions: Add the sugar and citrus peels to a punch bowl, muddle and let sit for 3 hours. Add the rum, Cointreau, water and lemon juice. When ready to serve, and for a foggy effect, place a pound of dry ice in the punch. Carefully ladle the punch, without any pieces of dry ice, into a serving glass. Garnish with lemon wheel and fresh grated cinnamon.

Important: Dry ice must not be eaten or swallowed! Handle only with insulated gloves or tongs, as it can cause severe burns. As a rule of thumb, one pound of dry ice will create 2 to 3 minutes of fog effect.

8. Milky Way Martini: Too old to go trick-or-treating? This cocktail will satisfy your chocolate cravings.

 • 2 oz. Van Gogh Rich Dark Chocolate Vodka
 • .5 oz. Van Gogh Vanilla Vodka
 • 1 oz. Butterscotch Schnapps

Directions: Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and pour into a chilled martini glass.

9. Pumpkin Pie: Didn't have the time to carve a pumpkin this year? Make up for it with this pumpkin flavored mixture.

 • 2 oz. Atlantico Rum
 • .75 oz. Pumpkin liquor or Pumpkin pie filling
 • 1 oz. Half & Half
 • .5 oz. Simple syrup (1 oz. if using Pie Filling instead of Pumpkin Liquor)

Directions: Add ingredients in Boston glass. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain into Cocktail glass.

10. The Exor-"sips": This candy corn martini was inspired by the movie "The Exorcist" and is available at 121 Fulton Street in NYC.

 • 1.5 oz. Belvedere Intense Vodka
 • Splash of orange juice
 • 1 oz. Crème de cacao,
 • 1/5 oz. Butterscotch schnapps

Directions: Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with candy corn.
