Mrs. Peter A. Salm, also known as The Countess von Salm-Hoogstraeten, and her private chef, Brian Hetrich, will be guiding Zoomers through how to create a tasty treat during Cooking with the Countess
, an exciting new monthly cooking show presented by Southampton History Museum.
The Countess and Chef Brian, a raw vegan chef, Master Grower, speaker and author from West Palm Beach, Florida, will film classes in the stupendous kitchen is located inside the Port of Missing Men, one of the last private Gilded Age estates in Southampton. H.H. Rogers, Jr., whose father was the richest man in 1910, constructed it.
The Countess' luscious, expansive organic vegetable garden provides major meal inspiration for dishes served at the estate.
"In my practice, I emphasize the harmonious integration of body, mind and spirit," Chef Brian relayed. "I feel very strongly in using superior nutrition combined with the judicial use of select herbs, pure water, sensible exercise, effective detoxification protocols and other lifestyle factors in order for anyone to realize superior health."
The Countess often opens her beautiful abode to local causes she champions, including the Peconic Land Trust
, Southampton History Museum and others.

Cooking with the Countess
will be held on the first Thursday of every month at 11 a.m. The inaugural program on Thursday, June 4 will feature Rhubarb Compote with Vanilla Sauce
, focusing on how to make a rhubarb pie using organic, home grown produce.
