"Big kids, little kids, adults...does anyone ever really stop loving big trucks" asked Steve Long, President of Children's Museum of the East End (CMEE). We think not.

On Saturday, September 26th, CMEE is paying homage to that adoration during "Big Truck Day," the Museum's inaugural community celebration showcasing the jumbo moving machines that we share the East End roads with. CMEE will be joined by Quackenbush Cesspools, the Bridgehampton Volunteer Fire Department, Rapid Recovery, and S&P Sanitation at the event.

"And with so many vehicles from local businesses and organizations joining us, this event is another way CMEE is upholding its mission to promote learning and build strong connections on the East End by providing playful experiences," added Long.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., attendees can explore and learn more about a lineup of "big trucks" that currently includes a fire truck, ambulance, vacuum truck, tow truck, garbage truck, potato truck, and tractor.

"It's amazing to see everyone's eyes light up — kids and grownups — when I tell them about 'Big Truck Day,'" added Liz Bard. "It's exciting to not only bring play to life, but also educate children on the important role big trucks play in our community!"

The Children's Museum of the East End (CMEE) is located at 376 Bridgehampton/Sag Harbor Turnpike in Bridgehampton. For more information, call 631-537-8250 or visit www.cmee.org.
