Christmas Season Sips: Three National Eggnog Day Options

Nothing says the holidays like savoring the season by sipping on a cup of eggnog. National Eggnog Day happens to fall on Thursday, December 24th, so as you celebrate Christmas Eve, don't forget to enjoy the classic Yuletide cocktail.

Sweet & Spicy Eggnog: (Created by Cassandra Rosen for Soltado Tequila)

 • 3 oz. Eggnog
 • 1 oz. Soltado Tequila
 • 1 oz. Bourbon Whisky
 • Cinnamon for garnish

Directions: In a shaker filled with ice combine eggnog, Soltado, and bourbon. Shake to combine until it's frothy. Serve chilled with a dash of cinnamon.

Mexican Egg Nog:

 • 1 cup Sauza Conmemorativo Anejo
 • 1 cup Maker's Mark Bourbon
 • 3 cups Egg Nog
 • 8 Cinnamon Sticks and Cinnamon for garnish

Directions: Combine egg nog, tequila and bourbon in a pitcher and stir. Pour into glasses and garnish with a cinnamon stick and sprinkle of cinnamon on top. (Note: Recipe serves 8)

Coconut RumNog:

 • 1 cup Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva
 • 1 cup Maple Syrup
 • 1 cup Heavy Cream
 • 1.5 cup Coconut Milk
 • 1 pinch Sea Salt
 • 3 Eggs, separated
 • .5 tbsp. Vanilla Extract
 • 2 tsp. grated Nutmeg
 • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
 • Nutmeg, cinnamon stick and shredded coconut for garnish

Directions: In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients, except egg whites until evenly blended together. Drop in cinnamon sticks, cover and chill eggnog mixture for up to two hours. Right before serving, using an electric mixer, beat egg whites until stiff peaks begin to form and gently fold into chilled eggnog mixture. Pour into glass and garnish with grated nutmeg, coconut shreds and cinnamon stick. (Note: Recipe serves 6)
