Zum Schneider which opened a Montauk location this spring is celebrating their first ever
Oktoberfest this weekend. Oktoberfest already has a12 year history at Zum Schneider's Manhattan location and they are bringing the party out East.
Zum Schneider was opened 2000 by Bavarian native Sylvester Schneider in Manhattan and after coming to Montauk to relax for years he decided to open his second location.
The three day Oktoberfest celebration starts on Friday, October 19 and continues until Sunday, October 21, 2012. On Friday Zum Schneider will open at 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday doors open at noon.
For those of you who have never experienced a Zum Schneider Oktoberfest get ready to feel like you are in Munich. Modern oompah band
Mösl Franzi and the JaJaJa's which was founded by Schneider and he is also the front man, will be playing during the afternoon and German DJ Volka Racho will be playing original Oktoberfest music and international hits between sets.
Zum Schneider features 12 German beers on tap and will have imported Oktoberfest beers along with their traditional Bavarian-German menu, and seasonal specialties for the Oktoberfest celebration.
So get ready for some delicious authentic German food, beer and music.
