The
Southampton Publick House debuted their
Oktoberfest lager on Friday, September 28, 2012, at their Oktoberfest celebration. From 6 to 10 p.m. guests enjoyed an authentic German menu including bratwurst and pretzels while listening to live Polka and German music by Keyboard Charly Nutturno and
AM Radio.
The Oktoberfest lager is one of
the Southampton Publick House's most anticipated seasonal brews, made with four types of imported German malts and hops for the most authentic flavor. They recently debuted their pumpkin ale and will debut the espresso stout soon.
According to Brewmaster
Evan Addario, "Fall is the most popular time for beer at the Southampton Publick House. The pumpkin ale is perfect for those who don't normally drink beer, the Oktoberfest lager has a crisp, clean taste and the espresso has just the right amount of coffee flavor".
Patrons received a commemorative 2012 Oktoberfest beer steins filled with their first pint for free. Bartenders Megan and Jamie dressed in traditional German garb and those who enter the yodeling contest had the chance to win a $100 gift card to the Southampton Publick House.
