Guild Hall Hosting Stirring The Pot Series With Anthony Bourdain, Martha Stewart And Daniel Boulud

This August, Guild Hall in East Hampton is hosting a new series, Stirring the Pot: Conversations with Culinary Celebrities, featuring iconic chefs. The program will kick off with Anthony Bourdain on Sunday, August 10, 2014. Florence Fabricant will lead each interview, which begins at 11 a.m., and a book signing will follow.

Bourdain is a chef, author, and narrator, who is most well known for traveling in pursuit of delicious food. He has become notorious as a professional annoyance, bête noir, advocate, social critic, and pork enthusiast who is recognized around the globe for his abrasive sense of humor. Bourdain is the chef at New York City's famous Parisian restaurant, Brasserie Les Halles, and the best-selling author of Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, A Cook's Tour, and Medium Raw. His work can be seen in issues of The New Yorker, The New York Times, The Times of London, Bon Appetit, Gourmet, and several others notable publications. His show, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations aired from 2004 to 2012. It won two Emmy Awards and was popular worldwide. Last year, Bourdain premiered two shows which he hosts, The Taste, a high-stakes cooking competition with celebrity chef judge Nigella Lawson, and Parts Unknown, a travel documentary series that airs on CNN.

The second conservation features Martha Stewart on Sunday, August 17. Stewart is the founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, an Emmy Award-winning television host, entrepreneur and best-selling author. She has been called "America's most trusted lifestyle expert and teacher," and is knowledgeable in everything from casseroles to napkin rings. Stewart is the go to for millions of Americans about all aspects of everyday living including cooking, baking, entertaining, gardening, home improvement, crafting, holidays, healthy living and pets.

The third and final Stirring the Pot: Conversations with Culinary Celebrities will feature Daniel Boulud on Sunday, August 31. Boulud is the chef and owner of several award-winning restaurants as well as the Feast & Fêtes catering company. While he comes from Lyon, France, Boulud has really mastered the restaurant scene in New York, and is now considered one of America's leading culinary experts. His New York City restaurants include DANIEL, a three Michelin star Relais & Châteaux member, Café Boulud, elegant and rated one Michelin star, Bistro Moderne, Bar Boulud, Boulud Sud, Épicerie Boulud, DBGB Kitchen and Bar on the Bowery. He is a multi-award winner of the James Beard Foundation and was named "Chef of the Year" by the Culinary Institute of America and Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur by the French government. Boulud is also the author of eight cookbooks, his most recent being, DANIEL: My French Cuisine.

General admission is $15, $13 for members, and free student rush tickets are available. There are also a limited number of $75 tickets that include a 10 a.m. pre-conversation and meet-and-greet continental brunch with the chef and host. To purchase tickets for the series of three conversations, it is $35 for members and $40 for general admission.
