New York City - The annual Art Show for the Children's International Workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 24. This event has taken place every year since the school opened its doors back in 1978.

Jackie Marks is the director, founder and owner, and Astrid Naess, has been the assistant director since 1985. Located on the top floor of a loft with huge skylights and amazing views of the Manhattan skyline, the school is flooded with natural light.

The school is an international preschool that attracts children and families from more than 35 countries. Most of the children are bilingual, as are most of the teachers. The school celebrates the international aspect by introducing children to the languages and cultures through art, music and dance. The school embraces the cultural differences of all families so that every child and family feels comfortable and welcome.

The school offers art, music, yoga, dance and reading-readiness. The older children are also able to join the swimming program every Friday morning. The school uses the park at Union Square and also takes the children on neighborhood walks and outings. The school runs from September through June, with an option to join summer school in July. In July the school offers all the same wonderful activities and teachers as the rest of the year.

The Children's International Workshop offers children a very warm and home like feeling and many families return with their second and third child.

The upcoming Art Show in April will showcase the paintings, drawings and reading-readiness work of each child.
