January is Detox Month at Gurney's Inn Resort and Spa and there is still time to take advantage of the spectacular specials being offered by the finest spa in the Hamptons.

If you have never visited Gurney's Sea Water Spa this is the perfect opportunity to experience the ultimate in spa therapies, particularly the state-of-the-art detox therapies being offered this month at discounted prices. Save 20% on all Sea Water Spa detox therapies including the Ultimate Detox Therapy, Algae Slimming Bath, Seaweed Wrap, Herbal Wrap, Brush and Tone Seaweed Wrap, and the Detoxify & Revive Aroma Therapy Treatments.

Along with therapy specials available at the spa, the Oceanview Salon is offering their 50 minute Organic Seaweed Facial for only $125.00, a 20% discount off the regular price. Yes, real men get facials and I have had the Seaweed Facial on several occasions. Believe me, my very lined Celtic mug that generally looks like a relief map of the Scottish Highlands looks 10 years younger after every treatment, which also includes both a feet and hands massage. Absolutely fantastic! Trust me guys, embrace the metro-sexual within and go for this treatment.

I recently had the opportunity to partake of the Detox & Revive Herbal Wrap. Wow! First your entire body, front and back, is exfoliated with an organic scrub of Nerolia, pink grapefruit, Bergimot, oats and coconut oil with crushed olive stones that are perfectly round, so they exfoliate your skin without any damage. Then, following a Swedish shower to remove the scrub and dead skin, my body was covered with an aromatherapy Revive Detox Gel imported from England that included Rosemary, Juniper, and again, Nerolia and pink grapefruit peel oil. Once absorbed, I was then covered in body oil consisting of Jojoba oil, Mandarin orange peel oil, Rosemary, Juniper and Eucalyptus oil and then I was wrapped in warm towels and an all covering blanket. As I lay there in absolute bliss, I received a frankincense, yes, frankincense scalp massage. Incredibly relaxing during the therapy, but detox and revive indeed! I was ready to run a marathon after this treatment.

When you book a 50-60 minute spa treatment the facility fee is waived Monday-Thursday at the Sea Water Spa, which means that you will also have access to the Roman Baths, Swedish Saunas, steam rooms, rain showers, fitness center and ocean view/seawater pool and all the other amenities of this world-class spa. The only sea water spa in the continental United States that features signature Thalasso therapies and uses sea water in the Olympic-size, indoor heated pool and Roman Baths.

One visit to Gurney's will want you to come back again and again. To that end, in January purchase a 12 month spa membership and you will receive two free additional months. For summer season residents, purchase a 6 month membership and receive one additional free month to revel in before you head back to Palm Beach.

Along with the Sea Water Spa and Ocean View Salon, Gurney's is an iconic Hamptons' hotel destination, with stunning ocean view rooms and fantastic cuisine at both the Sea Grille and Caffé Monte. You deserve a weekend to detox, revive and dine, Gurney's is the destination.
