, began his career in real estate 13 years ago, he was a travel agent for 22 years. "9/11 and the internet changed the business," he noted. His time spent in the retail travel industry made the real estate pro, who was named Douglas Elliman Real Estate's number two ranked realtor in the Hamptons in 2015, realize that it's important to be there for your clients and customers at the drop of a hat.
Rosmarin, who lives and works in Westhampton Beach, takes advantage of the area's unparalleled scenery whenever possible. "All the beaches in the Westhampton/Quogue area are beautiful," he said. "When I can find an hour or two to lie out I go to Jetty 4 (Lashley Beach) in Westhampton Beach."
He also makes sure to support the local businesses owners whenever he's in need of a wardrobe update. "The best variety of shopping is in Southampton, but I try to keep it in Westhampton," Rosmarin noted. "I buy my shirts at Impulse
on Main Street, Westhampton Beach."
As for East End eateries, he's definitely got his favorites. "Starr Boggs is the go-to spot in Westhampton Beach... Amazing Seafood and a fun and festive crowd," he shared. "Stone Creek is always great for a nice quiet dinner."
His hometown offers endless entertainment for all ages. "Westhampton Beach has so many festivals and arts shows you can't pick just one, but the fall festival combined on the same day with the Oyster festival is a blast," he noted.
Rosmarin, who specializes in vacation homes, from Remsenburg to Hampton Bays, has a deep knowledge about the area and credits his compassion for his clients as something that sets him apart. "I listen and care. I'm known as a pretty hard worker," he noted. "I have complete inventory knowledge of a very specific area."
If "location" is the first rule in real estate, what is the second? Why?

Timing, because location and timing are everything. Your timing has to be on when you really want to buy something and there isn't much on the market.
The Hamptons market has the high-end luxury section with homes well over $7 million and the flip side with homes under $500,000, plus all of the great homes in between. Where are the buyers right now?
Our market is running out of inventory in the $2 million to $5 million range. In vacation home buying, the public is learning how much more you can buy in the Westhampton Beach area without all the traffic hassles found elsewhere.
What is your forecast for the summer/fall real estate season in the Hamptons?
Little inventory. We are already starting to see it.
What are the emerging trends in architecture?
Less ornate interiors, clean lines. Pools with water features and in-pool tanning platforms.
How have buyers/sellers changed over the past two years?
I find they never change much, but buyers are getting slightly less comp oriented.
Which towns/villages are the most sought-after right now?
What is so special about the Hamptons real estate market?
The discretionary nature of the transaction for both buyers and sellers. It is rare that someone absolutely has to sell, since we have such a strong rental market. At the same time, nobody has to buy a second or third home. I always consider it a "perfect storm" when everything comes together.
Tell us about some of your most memorable sales and what made them standout? Was it the selling price, location, celebrity buyer?
Every sale is memorable to me, from the smallest co-op to the largest oceanfront home.
Tell us about one of your favorite listings on the market right now.
New construction at 4 Post Lane, leading to the Dune Road bridge. Sprawling, open floor plan with a 50 foot lap pool. Great location with a unique look by a very creative designer.
