The third annual Songwriters Share Concert Series
will feature acoustic rock artist, Inda Eaton
, on Friday, February 3rd at 8 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Meetinghouse of the South Fork in Bridgehampton. This series is unique in that it occurs in our local community and most importantly gives back to local charities. Each artist that performs gets the chance to choose a charity that concert proceeds will go to.
"I'm excited to announce second concert of the third annual Songwriters Share
concert series," remarked Nancy Remkus
, founder of Songwriters Share Concert Series. "This is the series that gives back to the community-benefitting seven local charities in our area."
Eaton has received nationwide acclaim for her innovative songwriting and she is often compared to a fusion of John Mellencamp
and Melissa Etheridge
. At the moment, Eaton is working in the studio creating a new album to follow Go West,
her critically acclaimed album featuring many East End legends. Eaton and her band have opened for successful artists like Hootie and the Blowfish, LeAnn Rimes
, Smashmouth, Chicago
, and John Hiatt.
Eaton's chosen charity is Project MOST
, a unique after school program founded in 2001 to provide the children of East Hampton and Springs with the means to be successful inside and outside of the classroom, regardless of their financial situation.
"Inda Eaton is an amazing artist. She has brought her talent to the children at Project MOST many times in the past few years," said Susan Gentile Hackett
, Development Director at Project MOST. "Not only has she written a Project MOST anthem with our kids, she performs at our events whenever she is asked. It is her belief in the work we do at Project MOST that shines through in these performances. Friday night should be an epic night of love. We can't wait."
Admission is $15 and includes a reception following the concert with an opportunity to speak with the artists and concertgoers. Support the concert series that reaches into our local community.
Following Eaton, Nancy Remkus will play for Long Pond Greenbelt on Saturday, February 11th, Caroline Doctorow
will play for Bridgehampton Child Care on Friday, March 3rd, Fred Raimondo will play for The Retreat
on Friday, April 7th, Gene Casey
