Update 10 a.m.:
Travel bans in both Nassau and Suffolk counties have been lifted, but a complete travel ban is still in effect across the entire South Fork.
Southampton Town Hall and all town facilities will remained closed on Tuesday, as will East Hampton Town Hall
and East Hampton Village Hall.
As of 9 a.m. on Tuesday, the MTA will begin phasing in service and a Sunday schedule is anticipated by noon for the LIRR. Officials are urging residents that although bans have been lifted, roads are still dangerous and drivers are urged to use extreme caution.
With as much as 30 inches of snow forecasted to fall in each Hamptons Village, Long Island is bracing for the harsh effects of Winter Storm Juno. "This is going to be a dangerous situation," Governor Andrew Cuomo
said during his press briefing about winter storm Juno. "Do not take this lightly. This is not a time to be casual." A state of emergency has been declared for several New York counties including Suffolk County.
As the East End is expected to bear the brunt of the record breaking storm, establishments are taking the necessary precautions to prepare. As of 3 p.m., all non-essential services at Southampton Hospital
are cancelled. Off-site facilities and the Meeting House Lane Medical Practice offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 27th and re-open on Wednesday, January 28th, unless otherwise notified. Dialysis will be open through the night shift on Monday, January 26th, but closed on Tuesday, January 27th. Emergency dialysis will be available at the Hospital and all Hospital departments are prepared for the storm.

is suspending its service to the Hamptons and Manhattan on Monday. The latest bus will leave Southampton at 3:30 p.m. and Manhattan at 7 p.m. Service to Manhattan will resume at around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, depending on the storm developments. The first eastbound trip from Manhattan will leave on Tuesday around 2 p.m. The Long Island Rail Road is also expected to stop service at 11 p.m. on Monday.
Several East End schools including the Hampton Bays School District, Southampton School District, Bridgehampton School District, Pierson School District, and East Hampton School District are on an early dismissal schedule for Monday.
Southampton Town urges anyone with special medical needs to call the Hampton Bays Senior Center at 631-728-1235 before 5 p.m. if they need assistants. Residents with pets in need of shelter should call Southampton Animal Shelter
at 631-728-7387, also before 5 p.m. In the event of a power outage, residents should report the outage to PSEG at 1-800-490-0075. For any other questions or concerns, call the Southampton Town Emergency Management Office at 631-728-3405.
