Screening of "Green Fire - Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time"
Thursday, September 26, 2019
7:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Aldo Leopold is considered by most to be the father of conservation,
recognizing in the 1920’s that man’s connection to nature should be as a
partner instead of as an adversary. In honor of National Public Lands
Day, please join us for a screening and discussion of this Emmy-award
winning documentary film which shares Leopold’s story. Presented by Wes
Triani, Certified Leopold “Land Ethic Leader” in partnership with the
Quogue Wildlife Refuge. Copies of Leopold’s Sand County Almanac,
originally published in 1949, will be available for purchase, courtesy
of Canio’s Books of Sag Harbor.
