Nazi Art Looting: Stolen Art Returned

Sunday, October 14, 2018

11:00 am

As reported in the New York Times, "Starting in 1939, Nazi henchmen and art dealers bought and
stole thousands of paintings, sculptures, tapestries and other objects from private collections
across Europe, then stockpiled them." The goal was to include them in Adolf Hitler's unrealized
Führermuseum.

At this important lecture, attorney, Raymond J. Dowd will discuss laws that were passed leading to
the return of stolen art to its rightful owners.

Refreshments will be served.

This event is free and open to the community.
