Exhibit: When The World Was Wood - Curated By Richard Doctorow

Friday, July 20, 2018 - Sunday, August 12, 2018

10:00 am to 5:00 pm

Exhibit runs from July 20 to August 12, 10am to 5pm. Opening Reception July 20th, 6pm to 8pm.

When The World Was Wood explores the amazing period (1650-1850) in America’s history by presenting some 100 objects (primarily from the 19th century) that are made of wood. Not only objects that we might expect - utensils, bowls, barrels, buckets, signs, toys and tools - but also those that are delightfully surprising, including a tricycle, gears for a tower clock, and even a washing machine manufactured right here in Sag Harbor in the 1860s.
