SoFo: Circle Beach Nature Walk: Adults & Children

10:00 am to 12:00 pm - Advance reservations are required. Programs free for SoFo members. Non-members: $15/ adult, $10/child 3-12 years, 2 and under free. Fees include free admission to the museum on the day of the event.

Join Dr. Serafy, marine invertebrate zoologist, for a nature walk through coastal habitats of saltmarshes, bay beaches & sand dunes. He will describe the dominant species of plants and animals in each habitat and how they are well-adapted to their environments. Ospreys will be nesting in the area & should have nestlings at this time. Also, there is a chance to see fiddler crabs feeding and preparing to mate in the saltmarsh. Dr. Serafy will also share his knowledge about edible plants and animals that are encountered during the walk.
