SoFo: Introduction To Amphibians & Frog Dissection: Adults & Children 8+

Saturday, January 20, 2018

10:30 am

Join Crystal for a presentation about the similarities and amazing adaptations of our local frogs, toads, newts, and salamanders. Learn how local frogs can survive winter temperatures, how tree frogs can climb glass, how frogs & toads change color, why our cold-blooded salamanders will walk over snow to ponds, & discover the changes that take place for a tadpole to become a frog. After the talk, we will dissect a prepared frog to further understand how they survive in different environments. Material fee: $15/frog.
