Mineola - Award winning tenor, Michéal Castaldo performed his theatrical debut on a Long Island Concert stage at the Hearst Auditorium at the new Athletic and Activity Center at Chaminade High School in Mineola on Sunday, May 15.

His "Believe, Heal and Hope" concert, produced by Majestic Castle Music Productions, was amazing from his entrance on the stage until the last song, "Il Mondo" which received a standing ovation along with shouts of Bravo, Bravo.

The lobby of the theater was tastefully decorated with banners, posters, displays of Micheal's CDs along with bottles of his Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Balsamico Particolare di Modena that he imports from Italy and an illuminated ceiling display with his name and logo. Soft music of YoYo-Ma playing the music of Ennio Morricone in the lobby and the mood was set.

The new theater itself seats 270 and every seat afforded a perfect view of the stage. The soft candles and flowers added warmth and beauty to the ambiance. As one entered the concert hall, a "Visions of Italy" DVD was projected on the huge screen at the back of the stage - the string ensemble, conducted by Maestro Alan Aurelia of the Richmond County Orchestra, was preparing to accompany Michéal's astounding voice.

His lovely wife, Bozena, gave the introduction of her talented husband with great pleasure and the music began. The concert began with the string orchestra playing Gustav Holsts' "Jupiter Chorale."

Michéal's selection of songs included "Senza Catene," "Lui Vive In Te," "Melodramma" and "Panis Angelicus" from his "Aceto" CD. Then his original song "Guarda Questa Terra" and "Notte di Luce" from his "La Dolce Vita' CD. He continued with another original song, "Io Credo," then "Allelulia," "I Te Vurria Vassa" and "Preghero" from his "Aceto" CD and ended the concert with a new song, "Il Mondo" from his upcoming CD (still untitled - to be released on November 22, 2011), and can be heard on Pandora Internet Radio and are available on Amazon.com, iTunes.com and E.Rossi & Co. NYC Little Italy.

The Richmond County Orchestra performed the intermezzo instrumental from Cavalleria Rusticana during the interlude. Great music resonated in the concert hall! Michéal's songs have been a soul of inspiration to many and the aura of "Believe, Heal & Hope" was present and palpable.

Michéal obviously enjoyed entertaining his audience with songs and stories and the all but full house responded with delight. Among the attendees were several Italian media personalities such as Benedetto Scannella of L'Esperienza Magazine, Cav. Josephine Maietta, Italian Radio Show hosts including Nino and Rosa of Hofstra's Italian radio show "Ciao Italy" and many others.
