The Scoop: August In The Hamptons

Nicole B. Brewer

Raising over 1.5 million Art For Life was held in an amazing pavilion right on the water and was packed with surprises. Anthony Anderson tickled the ivories and Estelle looked for an "American Boy". Rick Ross and his crew nearly brought down the house before Maxwell turned on the sexy. Then out came Doug E. Fresh to blow the roof off. Wonder how Russell will top this next year?

Coming up this first weekend of August in the Hamptons start with summer cocktails to support the Rita Hayworth Gala at the Water Mill home of Anne and Jay McInerney.

Southampton Hospital's "Forward to the Future" summer gala takes place in the Art Southampton pavilion. You can expect amazing jewelry and flowing gowns as always from the very tony Hamptons social set.

Sam Talbot, BeBe Winans, and Adam Duritz headline a very exclusive La Palestra party at East Hampton Studios on Saturday. We hear that A-Listers Liam Neeson, Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky Stern, John McEnroe and Patti Smyth, Frances McDormand, and Kelly Klein are on the guestlist.

Music lovers should head over to Shelter Island for the annual Perlman Music Program gala performance.

Head to Montauk for the Diamond in the Rough gala to support the Montauk Community playhouse.

Finally, join Lauren Bush Lauren and friends for the FEED and Women's Health summer bonfire at the Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club.
