Romany Kramoris Gallery will welcome two authors at the Sag Harbor-based gallery on Sunday, December 23.
First, Joyce Brian will be signing copies of her children’s book, The Orange Family: A Children’s Story of Art & Love, from 1 to 2 p.m., while Allan Zola Kronzek will be signing copies of his new book of illusions, Grandpa Magic, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
The Orange Family: A Children’s Story of Art & Love, which Brian also illustrated, encompasses friendship, love and art.
“Brian’s adorable, striking, richly colored characters teach children fulfilling lessons of life, love, and art,” Romany Kramoris, Romany Kramoris Gallery owner, shared. “Like classic characters from Seuss or Pooh, Brian’s characters become BFFs.”
Grandpa Magic boasts 116 tricks, stunts, and brainteasers – from the classic pull-a-quarter-from-behind-a-kid’s-ear to impressive card tricks to dinner table antics – that will amuse little ones, leaving them awestruck and entertained. The book includes step-by-step illustrations, making it a piece of cake to master.
“Perusing Kronzek’s magic stimulated my imagination to ‘try me! tricks,'” Kramoris added.
Additonally, the Gallery’s Small Artworks Holiday Invitational will be on view. The exhibition highlights the works of over 30 local artists, including Nancy Achenbach, Lianne Alcon, Herbert August, Olivia August, Adriana Barone, Ann Barzola, Eve Behar, Lois Bender, Joyce Brian, Lauren Chenault, Sue & Al Daniels, Christopher Engel, Franklin Engel, Patricia Feiwel, Suzzanne Fokine, Rick Gold, Barbara Groot, Barbara Hadden, Ruby Jackson, Mary Jaffe, Adrienne Kitaeff, Romany Kramoris, Peter Lipman-Wulf, Ghilia Lipman-Wulf, Pingree Louchheim, Veronica Mezzina, Mary Milne, Alan Nevins, Maria Orlova, Isabel Pavao, Heidi Rain, Christina Schlesinger, and Deby Zum.
