BookHampton is hosting a book signing with former United States Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton, on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 5 p.m. During the event, Clinton will sign copies of her recently released memoir, “Hard Choices,” in which she writes of her experiences within the Barack Obama administration.
Clinton served as Secretary of State from 2009 through 2013, in which she dealt with foreign policy situations involving the Middle East, Russia, the Egyptian Revolution and the Syrian opposition among many others.
In the memoir, Clinton discusses the “Hard Choices” she was exposed to in her position, including disagreements within the Obama administration and her reaction to the Benghazi attack in Libya. She also recounts various family events including her daughter, Chelsea Clinton’s wedding and personal aspects of her life.
The memoir was published on June 10, 2014, by Simon & Schuster and is preceded by Clinton’s memoir “Living History,” in which she accounts her time serving as United States Senator of New York and the former First Lady to President Bill Clinton.
The book signing event will not have seating available and does not include a reading or a Q & A. Tickets for the event are required and can be obtained by purchasing a copy of “Hard Choices” at any of the BookHampton storefronts between Friday, July 25, and Saturday, August 16, 2014.
