Candice Bergen, Emmy-Award winning and internationally successful actress, will be BookHampton’s guest author on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 5 p.m. In anticipation of a second volume, Bergen has recently re-issues her memoir, “Knock Wood,” and will be reading an excerpt from the book.
Her memoir has received overwhelmingly positive feedback and has been noted by The New York Times as “engaging, intelligent and wittily self-deprecating autobiography stuns.”
Bergen is best known for her rolls in various movies and TV series including “Murphy Brown,” “Ghandi,” “Camal Knowledge,” “Starting Over,” “Miss Congeniality,” and “Sweet Home Alabama.”
The BookHampton event is free to the public, however a book purchased is suggested. Following the reading, Bergen will answer any questions and sign books.
BookHampton is located at 41 Main Street in East Hampton. For more information, visit bookhampton.com.
