Poet Mark Doty Presenting Best American Poetry Of 2012 At Canio’s Book

Mark Doty will present a sampling from the anthology he guest-edited: Best American Poetry of 2012 at
Canio's Books on Saturday, December 8, at 5 p.m.
Doty's Fire to Fire: New and Selected Poems won the National Book Award for Poetry in 2008. His eight books of poems include School of the Arts, Source, and My Alexandria. Doty has also published four volumes of nonfiction prose which include
Still Life with Oysters and former
New York Times bestseller Lemon and Dog Years.
His poems have appeared in many magazines including The New Yorker and The London Review of Books, Poetry and his work has been honored by the National Book Critics Circle Award, a Whiting Writers Award, two Lambda Literary Awards and the PEN/Martha Albrand Award for First Nonfiction.
A $10 donation is suggested to attend the event which will benefit
Superstorm Sandy relief efforts and Canio's Cultural Café.
