The third Westhampton Beach Brewing Co. Comedy Night of the season will take place on Saturday, September 28. Attendees will be treated to a hilarious set from headliner Mick Thomas. The third iteration will also feature laughs provided by Michelle Slonim and Ben Rosenfeld, who happened to be married.
“The first two comedy nights at WHB Brewery were both sell-outs,” Comedian, producer and Quogue resident Michelle Slonim relayed. “In fact, one brewery customer demanded entry to the show so we gave him a standing room only pass. When he checked in at the box office, he announced himself proudly, ‘Hi, I’m Josh and I created standing room.'”
Thomas, who regularly amuses audiences all across Long Island and Manhattan, has appeared on Live At Gotham and has had two Top 10 Comedy Albums on iTunes. He’s also performed with comedy legends like Dom Irrera, Norm Macdonald, Jim Breuer, Carl LaBove, John Pinette, and Greg Giraldo.
“I’m excited to perform in the Hamptons. Sure summer is over and I’m going to freeze at the beach, but I can humblebrag to my friends I’m playing the Hamptons. Plus I’m from Ireland, so a brewery is where I feel most at home,” Mick Thomas quipped.
Added comedian Ben Rosenfeld, “Tan skin is so out. It’s all about being pasty white.”
Rosenfeld, whose comedy is described as “playfully dark, seriously smart,” has been featured on FOX’s Laughs, Travel Channel’s Mysteries At The Museum, CBS This Morning, Nat Geo’s Brain Games, Netflix’s Brainchild, NPR’s Weekend Edition, SiriusXM Radio, and was even highlighted as TimeOut New York‘s Joke of the Week. He’s also headlined twice at Caroline’s on Broadway, hosted at the Lincoln Center and performs nightly in New York City.
Slonim has showed off her comedic talent on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Comedy Central, HBO and SiriusXM Radio. She’s also a seasoned producer that has worked on 24 Hour Celebrity Plays on Broadway and produced shows at Webster Hall and Le Poisson Rouge, which have included special guests Dave Attell and Greer Barnes from Chappelle’s Show.
“The end of September is technically off-season, so we decided to do another show to test the waters and see if our regulars and locals like comedy or if the seasonal folks are the only ones with a sense of humor,” added Westhampton Beach Brewing Co. owner Kathleen Tedesco.
Tickets to Westhampton Beach Brewing Co.’s Comedy Night are $25, with a 2 drink minimum. Light snacks will be provided and doors open at 7 p.m. The chuckles officially begin at 8 p.m.
