Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts’ All Star Stand-Up Comedy Show, presented in partnership with comedian Joseph Vecsey, is back on Saturday, April 20 for another rousing round of stand-up.
“We have another fantastic line-up at Bay Street Theater this weekend!” Vecsey, who curates the series and typically hosts, shared.
This iteration will feature sets from Barry Ribs, Carie Karavas, and Marc Gerber, and Vecsey is bringing in Jamie Roberts to host.
“I’ve been really wanting these comics on the show for a while, so I’m happy they are finally there and I know Sag Harbor will enjoy them,” he added.
Ribs has performed at the Apollo Theater and Caroline’s on Broadway, and has also served as DL Hughley’s opening act.
Karavas, “a tough, street smart, wisecracking stand-up comic,” has appeared on Comedy Central and New Joke City, and has brought the laughs to the world famous Montreal Comedy Festival, Mohegan Sun, and Vegas. She is currently filming a special for HBO and hosts CHIT CHAT on Facebook with Patty Rosborough.
Gerber, a stand-up veteran who is also a well-respected Roast Battler, “a skill he developed in grade school when he needed suitably cutting retorts to kids referring to him as a Gerber Baby,” has appeared on CNN’s “RunningMate” podcast, NBC, MTV and in the New York Post.
Roberts serves as the executive producer and weekly host of Sunday Night Live, the longest running Sunday show in NYC. He has appeared on MTV, Tidal, XM Radio, The Grio, The Root, 770 WABC Radio, NBC’s Law & Order, Channel 7 ABC’s Eyewitness, Channel 6 ABC News commercials, and was a cast member on FYI’s A Question of Love.
