An uproarious theatrical experience is about to take over the Quogue Community Hall.

What happens when four tremendous tenors find themselves trapped in a hotel suite with two wives and three girlfriends as they wait to entertain a soccer stadium filled with screaming fans during what is anticipated to be the concert of the century? Find out during Ken Ludwig's A Comedy of Tenors, the sequel to the playwright's Tony Award-winning smash hit, Lend Me a Tenor, which will launch Hampton Theatre Company's 2018-2019 season.

Set in Paris during the 1930s, the production reunites several Lend Me a Tenor characters. On the brink of chaos, A Comedy of Tenors boasts clashing egos, confused identities, bedroom buffoonery, absurd shenanigans, and rave reviews.

"From conception to execution, everything about A Comedy of Tenors hits on all comedic cylinders and, as advertised, is laugh-out-loud funny," a critic for The News-Herald lauded in a review of the world premiere production at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, NJ, while BroadwayWorld.com raved, "Laugh after laugh greets one improbable scene after another. Ludwig knows no ridiculous limits."

"Playwright Ken Ludwig has hit the jackpot again with his fast-paced, over-the-top farce A Comedy of Tenors," complimented Beacon Journal.

A Comedy of Tenors will star HTC veterans Edward Brennan as Tito, Matthew Conlon as Max, Terrance Fiore as Saunders, Amanda Griemsmann as Mimi, Catherine Maloney as Maria, and Cesa Pledger as Racon. Connor Antico will make his HTC debut in the role of the young tenor, Carlo.

Diana Marbury will direct the HTC production, with set design by Sean Marbury, lighting design by Sebastian Paczynski and costumes by Teresa Lebrun.

Ludwig's first Broadway play, Lend Me a Tenor, won three Tony Awards and was nominated for nine. His follow-up, Crazy for You, which also made its way to the West End, ran for over five years and earned a Tony Award, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, LA Drama Critics Circle, Helen Hayes Award, and Laurence Olivier Awards as Best Musical. Ludwig is also the man behind Moon Over Buffalo, a new adaptation of the classic Ben Hecht-Charles MacArthur play, Twentieth Century, Shakespeare in Hollywood and Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery.

A Comedy of Tenors will open on Thursday, October 25 and run through Saturday, November 10. Shows are on Thursdays and Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets range from $10 to $30. There will also be special dinner and theater packages available in collaboration with the Westhampton, Southampton, Hampton Bays and Quogue libraries, as well as a lunch and theater package offered with the Quogue Club at the Hallock House for the Saturday matinee on November 10.

Quogue Community Hall is located at 125 Jessup Avenue in Quogue. For more information, visit www.hamptontheatre.org.
