American comedian, actor, and television host, Jay Leno, will take the stage at Guild Hall in East Hampton on Saturday, July 1. The Season Spectacular, Guild Hall’s annual 4th of July weekend benefit performance, will feature Leno’s talent in full force. His late night television ratings dominated, winning every consecutive quarter during Leno’s impressive 19 year run. Leno has been honored by the Television Academy with an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy, Variety or Music Series, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno has also taken home the trophy for Favorite Late Night Show at the annual TV Guide Awards. It’s no secret that Leno is one of the most talented comedians and television show hosts.
“After better than two decades at the helm of The Tonight Show and thousands of nights on the road, Jay Leno is still a comedy machine,” said the Providence Journal in a 2015 review.
Leno will test his humor live with his “everyman” style and personality. In addition to his nationwide performances, you can find the star on his show Jay Leno’s Garage. The NBC creation has gained an international following on the internet, as well as an Emmy Award and two additional nominations for Outstanding Special Class-Short-Format Nonfiction Programs. He has also earned a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. Leno was born in New Rochelle, New York and raised in Andover, Massachusetts. He and his wife, Mavis, live in Los Angeles.
Following the performance, attendees can join Leno for a Benefit Dinner. Performance-only tickets start at $150 and the show begins at 7 p.m. Benefit dinner tickets range from $1,000 to $15,000. Guild Hall was founded over 80 years ago and is the Hamptons’ year-round visual and performing arts center dedicated to serving the residents, members, families, and artists of the East End.
