"I was inspired to create something in an experimental style," said Spanish pianist Dani Campos, who is featured in The Box Collective's latest production, Wild Horses. "We've been calling this piece an 'anti-musical.'"

The original performance written by Andrea Goldman will debut at Guild Hall on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. Following the show, attendees are invited to stay for a meet and greet with the ensemble.

"We've been working in Europe and especially Berlin, as well as New York City, but for me the Hamptons is where I go to think, to write, to create [and] to find inspiration," noted Goldman. "It's where I can breathe. And new works needs space to breathe." The writer, whose critically acclaimed work, La Cueca, was featured in East Hampton in 2010, said that she hopes to continue presenting her and her team's work in the Hamptons before taking it around the world.

Artistic directors of The Box Collective, Sara George and Goldman, who both grew up riding horses, will be co-directing Wild Horses, which follows a character's struggle to escape from a "dusty ghost town." The main roles will be played by Julia Watt, a founding member of The American Vicarious, and Oliver de Rohan, an award winning actor from Australia.

According to George, the idea of the wild horse is "a metaphor for the young girl's struggle in this piece," which is portrayed by an "incredible" ensemble, including Harvard graduates Sarah Kenney as choreographer and Mary Ellen Stebbins as lighting designer.

Guild Hall is located at 158 Main Street in East Hampton. For more information, visit www.thebox-collective.com.
