This season, Bay Street Theater has added a new program, “Blackout at Bay Street,” a late night, immersive cabaret. The captivating series will debut with “The Skivvies” on Friday, August 8, and Saturday, August 9, 2014. The Bay Street Musical Cabaret will follow on Friday, August 22, and Saturday, August 23, 2014.
The avant-garde performances will take place directly following the Main Stage Show in the theater lobby. The audience can sample specialty cocktails while they watch performances as they happen all around them. The Sag Harbor Theater will certainly be the new place to be for after-hours entertainment in Sag Harbor this August.
“The Skivvies” features the seductive musical comedy duo of Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley. The performance showcases simplified arrangements and stripped off clothes. The award-winning NYC duo perform stripped down arrangements of eclectic covers and eccentric originals. They were recently named “Most Playful Performers” in People Magazine’s The Most Talked about Bodies of 2014 issue.
The Bay Street Musical Cabaret is a hilarious and intimate cabaret, featuring performers from “My Life is a Musical,” who will sing their own musical theater and rock songs.
Doors to “Blackout at Bay Street” open immediately after the Main Stage Show, at approximately 10:30 p.m., with the cabaret performances set to begin at 11 p.m. The cabaret show is included in the price of “My Life Is A Musical” on those evenings. The ticket price for walk-ins is $15.
