Hampton Theatre Company Kicking Off 29th Season With "Other Desert Cities"

Hampton Theatre Company will launch their 29th season with "Other Desert Cities," the Broadway play by Jon Robin Baitz.

Set in Palm Springs, California, over the 2004 Christmas holiday, "Other Desert Cities," examines the dynamics of the Wyeth family as they find out one of the children has written and is about to publish a memoir digging up a momentous and heartbreaking event in the family's history.

The play was the winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Off-Broadway play, earned five Tony Award nominations after it moved to Broadway, and was a finalist for the 2012 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

Special dinner and theater packages in collaboration with the Quogue, Westhampton Beach, Hampton Bays, and Southampton, libraries, as well as Arts Alive LI will be available.

"Other Desert Cities" debuts on Thursday, October 24, and runs through Sunday, November 10 at the Quogue Community Hall on Jessup Avenue.
