This spring The Hampton Ballet Theatre School (HBTS) will debut two new ballets “Carnival of the Animals” and “The Graduation Ball,” both choreographed by director Sara Jo Strickland. HBTS also has a few surprise dances this spring as part of the eclectic ballet program.
“The Graduation Ball” follows a military boys school as they attend a ball at an all girls school. The comedic ballet showcases fast paced dancing as well as a delightful score by Johann Strauss, Jr. In “Carnival of the Animals” a menagerie of barnyard, zoo and wild animals will grace the stage during the whimsical score of Camille Saint-Saens.
Tickets can be purchased in advanced for $25 for adults and $20 for children under 12 years of age. Premium orchestra, private box seating and group rates are also available. Performances are on Friday, April 26th, and Saturday, April 27th, at 7:30 p.m. as well as on Sunday, April 28th at 2 p.m at Guild Hall 158 Main Street, East Hampton.
