(SHC) for a trip around the world through SHC's virtual cinema and weekly "Cinema Live" conversations with featured filmmakers.
"The Sunday live conversations have been allowing us to connect our viewers more intimately with the films we show in the virtual cinema and to introduce to our community exciting directors from all over the world," SHC's artistic director Giulia D'Agnolo Vallan explained. "Both on part of the filmmakers and on the audience, the response has been great."
"Cinema Live" will continue on Sunday, February 21 with Bacurau
writer-directors Kleber Mendonça Filho and Juliano Dornelle. Presented in partnership with Cinema Tropical, the live discussion will cover the duo's smash
-hit, as well as Mendonça Filho's directorial debut Neighboring Sounds
- both of which will be available to watch in the SHC virtual cinema starting Friday, February 19.
On Sunday, February 28, Heartworn Highways
producer Graham Leader will chat about the newly-restored documentary. Sag Harbor Cinema will welcome Heartworn Highways
to its virtual cinema starting Friday, February 26.
On Sunday, March 7, The White Tiger
director Ramin Bahrani will speak about his film adaptation of Aravin Adiga's best-selling novel - which stars superstar Pryianka Chopra and newcomer Adarsh Gourav. The White Tiger
is available to watch on Netflix
"Cinema Live" conversations commence at 4:30 p.m.
