If you're running out of things to binge watch, May will bring more captivating, virtual Now Showing screenings from HamptonsFilm.

Justin Pemberton's Capital in the Twenty-First Century will be available the week of May 4th. The documentary is based on the international bestseller by economist Thomas Piketty, which sold more than three million copies globally and earned Piketty a spot on Time's list of most influential people. The film delves into distribution of wealth, as well as the rise in inequality, with commentary from notable experts.

Levan Akin's And Then We Danced can be viewed the week of May 11th. The 2019 Swedish-Georgian drama follows a male dancer that has been training with his partner for years to earn a spot on the National Georgian Ensemble. However, when another dancer arrives on the scene, this sparks a charged rivalry.

D.W. Young's The Booksellers returns to Now Showing the week of May 18th. The documentary shines a remarkable light on the rare book world, the antiquarian booksellers that safeguard the exceptional works, and the unique role they play in protecting history.

"From Capital in the Twenty-First Century's insightful examination of the evolving role of capital in modern society to Sweden's moving entry into this year's Oscar race, the lovely coming of age story And Then We Danced, and a brilliant examination of the culture of books in our lives today in The Booksellers, we are thrilled to showcase some incredible films in May's Now Showing series that truly represent a wonderful range of current cinema for our audiences," David Nugent, HamptonsFilm Artistic Director relayed.

In addition to Now Showing, HamptonsFilm will continue to present Alec Baldwin Presents Friday Flashback, with special conversations about the featured film dropping every Friday. HamptonsFilm is also offering a weekly family friendly recommendation. The current pick is Charlie Chaplin's The Kid.
