Mountainfilm, one of America's longest-running film festivals, is making its way to the Hamptons. Held every Memorial Day weekend in Telluride, Colorado, the Festival features top independent international documentary films. It also travels around the world to showcase Festival picks year-round.
Southampton Arts Center
will host a specially curated selection of Mountainfilm on Tour films that showcase the Festival's mission: "using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world" - on Friday, September 14 and Saturday, September 15.
Opening Night screenings (on Friday at 7 p.m.) will include Joey Schusler and Aidan Haley's RJ Ripper

who rode 17,000 kilometers on his bicycle from Montreal to the Arctic Ocean," Elyn Kronemeyer, sponsor of Mountainfilm on Tour Southampton and SAC Board Member, reflected. "As special guests - they will be honored at Saturday's Filmmakers Party and will host Q&A's after each night's screening." After viewing over 100 short documentaries that were showcased at the Mountainfilm Festival, Kronemeyer curated the selection that will be seen at SAC.
The Filmmakers Reception will be held on Saturday at 6 p.m.
