50 years ago, director Bruce Brown presented the ultimate surfing adventure when he documented the journey of two surfers traveling around the world in "The Endless Summer." In honor of the film's milestone anniversary, the Surfing Heritage & Cultural Center, Montauk Surf Museum and Pilgrim Surf + Supply are teaming up with the Parrish Art Museum to present an outdoor screening of "The Endless Summer" on Friday, July 24th.

Released in 1966, the film follows surfers Michael Hynson and Robert August as they travel on an around-the-world surfing adventure, starting from their California home to Hawaii, Australia, South Africa, and other secret surfing spots, in search of what Brown considers "The Perfect Wave."

Before the screening, attendees will enjoy a performance from Gent Treadly, a New York City-based band that will play classic surf tunes. Music begins at 7 p.m. and the screening will follow at 8:30 p.m.

Admission to the screening is $10, but free for students, children and museum members.

Parrish Art Museum is located at 279 Montauk Highway in Water Mill. For more information, call 631-283-2118 or visit parrishart.org.
