Joseph Mankiewicz, actor
W.C Fields and actress
Mae West.
The Joseph Mankiewicz weekend kicks off on Friday, April 5, with "All About Eve" starring
Bette Davis,
Anne Baxter, George Sanders,
Celeste Holm, Gary Merrill, Thelma Ritter and
Marilyn Monroe. Eve Harrington, a willingly helpful young fan of the highly regarded but aging Broadway star Margo Channing, insinuates herself into Channing's life, ultimately threatening Channing's career and her personal relationships.
On Saturday, April 6, "
Cleopatra" starring
Richard Burton,
Elizabeth Taylor and
Rex Harrison will screen. The epic drama follows the triumphs and tragedy of Egyptian queen, Cleopatra.
The final film of The Picture Show will be "My Little Chickadee" starring Mae West and W. C. Fields on Friday, April 12. Belle Lee, a singer from
Chicago runs into trouble while on her way to visit relatives out west. The comedy is set in the American Old West during the 1880s.
Films begin at 8 p.m. and tickets are $7 at the door which includes a small box of popcorn.
