Guild Hall Screening The Met: Live In HD Berlioz’s Les Troyens

On Saturday, January 5, 2013, Guild Hall will screen The Met: Live In HD Berlioz's Les Troyens beginning at noon. Viewers will be given the rare opportunity to watch Berlioz's grand epic which was last performed at the Met in 2003. The cast includes Deborah Voigt, Susan Graham, Dwayne Croft who portray characters from the Trojan War. Brian Hymel will replace Marcello Giordani for the performances on January 1 and 5. The Met Principal Conductor Fabio Luisi will conduct the large-scale musical forces. Les Troyens is sung in French and the approximate running time is 5.5 hours.

Tickets are $22/$20 for members per screening and $15 for students. Les Troyens is screening at The John Drew Theater in the Dina Merrill Pavilion at Guild Hall, (158 Main Street, East Hampton, 631-324-0806). Tickets can be purchase in advance at guildhall.org.
