East Quogue - Actor, writer and director Woody Allen was back in the Hamptons last week, again using our iconic resort paradise as a location for a new film.

Last week, confirmed by East Quogue Mayor Peter Sartorius, Mr. Allen and his crew where in East Quogue last Wednesday and Thursday filming scenes for his yet untitled new movie at a beachfront private residence. The new comedy will star Cate Blanchett, Michael Emerson, Peter Sarsgaard, Louis C.K. and the Hamptons' favorite resident actor and altruist Alec Baldwin. With a lineup like that it should be a hoot!

Our buddy Larry Hoffman, owner of Dockers, shot out an email letting everyone know that Allen, Ms. Blanchett, Louis C. K. and Baldwin dined at his waterside restaurant. Why not, it is a great spot!

This is not the first time the legendary and reclusive director has used the Hamptons as a backdrop to a scene in his movies, remember the lobster scene in Annie Hall? Scenes from Allen's Mighty Aphrodite where also filmed here.

At this time there are no plans for future filming in East Quogue or anywhere else in the Hamptons that we know about, but Mayor Sartorius could not completely rule it out. Keep your eyes peeled for a funny little man in a floppy hat.

Isn't this guy a known pedophile, painful to see this pathetic person on my screen each time I go for my e-mail. Does somehow being a liberal excuse people from observing the other norms of society?
