From making the perfect speech to fall gardening tips to the basics of bridge, Guild Hall’s Table Talk Series is back with an assortment of fascinating topics. Beginning Sunday, October 19th, local experts will lead the free lectures, which are held every other Sunday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The series kicks off on Sunday, October 19th with Gardening in Fall and Designing Your Spring Flowers led by Frederico Azevedo of Unlimited Earth Care, Inc.
On Sunday, November 2nd, enjoy From Page One to Publication with Rita Plush and Debra Scott. The discussion will feature the Elements Essential to Writing a Compelling First Draft to Pointers on How to Get the Final Manuscript Published. Drawing from their particular area of expertise, Scott will speak about the issues she finds most challenging in advising her one-on-one and workshop clients, while Plush will chat about how she launched a writing career late in life.
The program continues on Sunday, November 16th with Bridge Tips for Beginners from George Aman. Learn the basics of bridge while getting a flavor of the game and learning by playing.
It being the holiday season, Raise a Glass with Carmen Adriana on Sunday, December 7th as she explains How to Give a Great Toast at Any Gathering. Adriana, entrepreneur and founder of the local public speaking club ToastHampton, will explain tips and techniques on how to craft a great toast, from getting the room’s attention to taking the celebratory sip.
The final lecture is Sunday, December 14th and will feature First Growth on Long Island with Michael Cinque: A Primer on and Tasting of Local Wines.
