Spend a chilly winter afternoon exploring the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, which is filled with fun family friendly activities this holiday season.
For an extra special gift purchase a priceless item during The Artist’s Touch: An Online Auction to Benefit the Parrish Art Museum, now through Tuesday, December 17. Items include one-of-a-kind opportunities with artists April Gornik, Eric Fischl, Mary Heilmann and Malcolm Morley.
The Parrish’s pre-New Year’s Eve celebration, Into the Light Mid-Winter’s Dance Party, is on Friday, December 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. Enjoy music by DJ Mister Lama, tropical video visuals, and festive drinks. Advance reservations are recommended.
Take a guided tour showcasing highlights from the permanent collection from Saturday, December 7 through Sunday, December 29. The tour last approximately one hour.
The Museum has family Open Studios on Saturdays, December 14 through 28, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. The tours are followed by art workshops. Sundays are also family friendly with Gallery Talks and Art Workshops on December 15 and 29, at 2 p.m.
Artistic students can spend winter break showing off their talent during a Holiday Vacation Workshop. The Parrish has two session, for children age 4 to 6 and children age 7 and up. Topics include Landscapes, Portraits, Sculpture, and Collage. Advance registration is required.
